Lonnie and Kirk,
I have taken your rough draft and played around with it and offer the following as possible layout. Let me know what you think. I talked to my Youth Director about the pre-worship interviews. His suggestion is that we go to the mall, perhaps downtown, and do some interviews ahead of time. His thoughts are that in doing so we will have time to edit them and set them up so that they will come across well. His thinking is that if we do them just prior to the service it is a toss up as to 1. whether or not we will even get them to work, and 2. they will come across in such a way as they will be rough edged and ineffective. He said he would be willing to take one of the teens and hit the streets and get the material for us, edit it and have it ready for the service. We can the test it prior to Wed.evening. What do you think?
Take a look at my revisions, edit as you see fit and we will move forward with a finished plan.

Thanksgiving Prayer
L. Lord, tonight we sit on the edge of yet another Thanksgiving season. We pray tonight
that our observance of Thanks will be more than momentary words. We know that true
Thanks is born out of a heart felt awareness of your goodness. So tonight we thank
you for....
P. the gift of this day and for each day of life we are blessed to receive.
We thank you for friends and family and the pure joy we receive from their love and
companionship. We thank you for the material goods which meet both our needs and
our wants. We thank you for the laughter of children and for a kind word spoken.
Lord, we thank you for Jesus, for his saving grace and eternal promise.
L. And Lord, we thank you for prayer and invite you to hear those who have gathered here
on this Thanksgiving Eve. as they pray together that precious prayer first spoken by
Jesus.
All. Our Father, who art in heaven....

I agree with your idea of having someone go to the mall before-hand and interview so that we have time to edit it, and make sure its going to work.

I also talked to our keyboardist. If you are still interested in having her play with your native American Flutist we can also do that.

Just a point of clarification. You use the term Scripture lesson. Were you thinking that I should elaberate a minute or two on the point of the Scripture? Or did you just want me to read the Scripture?

I like the responsive prayer.
